New Product Release: HSM

Sumitomo announces its improved design HSM (Helical Shaft Mount) Speed Reducer. The new HSM is readily adaptable for all standard CEMA screw conveyer and shaft mount options, and is supplied with Sumitomo's patented Steel Taper-Grip® bushing design. This allows for easy retrofit, installation and removal, since no key-way is required. The new HSM design also features an increased 25° pressure angle and wider gear tooth face for maximum torque and higher ratings throughout all HSM sizes. 
A C-face Direct Drive connection has been incorporated into the new HSM design, eliminating the need for additional installation and application hardware such as belts, sheaves, top mounting hardware and belt guards.

The HSM has been successfully applied in demanding environments and applications such as aggregate, mining and waste water treatment.
