Solving Problems for a Meat Processing Plant

Year:
2024
meat plant

Problem:

Frequent damage to the reducer. High consumption in the 25 HP motor.

Solution:

Installing a 7.5 HP Cyclo gear motor.

Poorly implemented solutions often only shift problems around instead of solving them. At this particular plant, they initially used a massive 25hp motor to lift cattle due to the inefficiency of their worm-crown screw solution.

However, this motor was not only inadequate for the task at hand due to its inefficiency, but it also broke down every six months to a year of use, causing maintenance costs and operational stoppages.

As the team required frequent starts, we suggested a linear cycle solution, which allowed the power to be reduced to 7.5hp while maintaining the same workload. Our solution was highly successful, to the point that similar equipment has continued to be acquired since its installation.
