Food-Grade Hyponic Quill Reducers Available in Corona, CA Facility

We have listened!  Our customers have spoken and demanded a West Coast inventory of Sumitomo’s Food & Beverage Hyponic quill reducers. On March 17, 2009, Corona (CA) Operations will formally start manufacturing Food-Grade Hyponics.

In parallel to our Food-Grade operational launch on the West Coast, Sumitomo is also "Going Green" and promoting Hyponic as our eco-friendly product to our customers nationwide.  Sumitomo’s Hyponic drives are manufactured in our Gearmotor Factory located in Okayama, Japan. This factory is ISO 14001 certified and committed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions. In addition, Sumitomo limits the use of lead in gearmotor and gearbox manufacturing, and directs suppliers to stop using the six restricted substances listed in the European Union’s RoHS (Restriction of Hazardous Substance) guide, even though our products are currently exempt. We can customize most of our products to meet RoHS standards when customers require it.
