Sumitomo Drive Technologies, today announced the consolidation of its Corona, CA assembly facility (2375 Railroad St, Corona, CA 92878) into existing North American operations. This decision is a strategic move in response to California's evolving and challenging business environment. By consolidating operations, the company is positioning itself to optimize its assembly footprint better and fully utilize the newly expanded Glendale Heights, IL facility.
The closure of the Corona facility will begin immediately and is expected to be completed by December 31, 2024. This move is part of Sumitomo's broader growth strategy and our commitment to maintaining superior operational performance. The transition has been carefully planned to ensure uninterrupted service and product availability for customers.
