Sara Zimmerman Elected as New Chair of Motion and Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA)

Sumitomo Drive Technologies is proud to announce that Sara Zimmerman has been appointed the first chair of the newly formed Motion and Power Manufacturers Alliance (MPMA). This appointment marks a significant milestone in the industry, following the merger of the American Gear Manufacturers Association (AGMA) and the American Bearing Manufacturers Association (ABMA).

With over 25 years of dedication to manufacturing excellence at Sumitomo Drive Technologies, Zimmerman has played a pivotal role in enhancing customer experience and product management. As Vice President of Customer Experience and Product, she leads a management team focused on front-end support and delivering an exceptional overall customer experience.

The MPMA is set to deliver increased value through the creation of industry standards, robust education and workforce development programs, and strong supply chain connections via face-to-face events. Additionally, the organization will produce two industry publications and advocate for the interests of its members at the federal government level.
