Ronald J. Smith Named President / COO
Sumitomo Machinery Corporation of America (SMA) announces the promotion of Ronald J. Smith to the position of President and Chief Operating Officer. His most recent position was Vice President, Sales and Marketing for the company. Mr. Smith has over 12 years of experience with SMA in key sales, marketing and operations positions. Mr. Smith began his career with SMA in 1991 as a Regional Sales Manager in California. He was promoted to Assistant Vice President of Sales, Western Region in 1995 and to Western Region Vice President in 1998. He brings more than 25 years of power transmission industry experience to this position.
